Ein Mythos sagt: Als es zur Entscheidung kam, ob Englisch oder Deutsch die Landessprache der USA werden sollte, fiel das Ergebnis sehr knapp aus: Englisch hatte nur 6 Stimmen mehr als Deutsch!

Aber es ist ein Mythos So eine Abstimmung gab es nie. Ausser in Pennsylvania hatten Deutsche nirgends in den USA einen Bevölkerungsanteil von über 10%. Somit wäre die Abstimmung auch nicht so knapp verlaufen.

USD 56'000 pro Kopf. Sehe vermutlich einmal mehr das Problem nicht. Für Schulden braucht es immer einen zwei, einen Schuldner und einen Gläubiger. Bin überzeugt, dass die US-Regierung neben der Fed auch noch andere Gläubiger findet. Warum?

Wären die Schulden ein hohes Risiko, müssten dementsprechend logischerweise die Zinsen hoch sein. Da wäre ja ein Vergleich zwischen USA und anderen entwickelten Ländern interessant sein.

Das ist richtig und die normalerweise funktionierende Mechanik, die Börsen, Anleihenmärkte und Staaten bewertet.

Diese Mechanik ist im Moment ausgehebelt, weil die Zentralbanken die Staatsschulden mit neu gedrucktem Geld aufkaufen (==> Monetarisieren).

Für den normalen Investor stellt sich so z.B. die Frage: "Soll ich dem amerikanischen Staat für 2.27% Zins pro Jahr auf 10 Jahre hinaus einen Kredit geben?" Oder für 1.57% auf 5 Jahre?

Für den "normalen" (= intelligenten, denkenden, rationalen) Investor lautet die Antwort: "Nein", Entsprechend investiert er entweder in höher rentierliche Aktien oder - neuster Trend unter US-Hedge-Fonds - in Agrarland.

Nichts desto trotz "investiert" die Zentralbank FED in diese Papiere. Sie hat ja auch nichts zu verlieren, denn sie kann beliebige Dollarmengen kostenlos per Mausklick generieren. 

Somit ist folgendes klar:

Müssten sich die USA auf dem freien Kapitalmarkt - ohne Monetarisierung der Fed - refinanzieren, wären die Zinsen um einiges höher.

Dasselbe gilt natürlich auch für alle anderen der PIIGSUSA-Länder.

Künstlich niedrige Zinsen führen allgemein zu einer Verzerrung des Marktes. Nicht nur des Anleihen-Marktes.

Dank künstlich niedriger Zinsen werden Kredite für Geschäfte aufgenommen, die unter normalen Umständen niemals eine Finanzierung bekämen. So z.B. eine Teil der US-Fracking-Firmen, die $1.50 investieren müssen, um Gas im Wert von $1.00 zu erzeugen.

Gibt es irgendwo ein Angabe darüber, welcher Anteil (grob Prozent) der US-Staatsanleihen von der Fed aufgekauft werden? M.W. tut die EZB dies nicht.

Ja, gibt es. Per März 2014 (sorry nix neueres gefunden) hielt die Fed $2'394 Mrd. an den Staatsschulden von damals rund 17'000 Mrd. Also rund 14%.

Hat jemand das Interview mit dem amerikanischen Ökonom Peter Schiff im aktuellen Swissquot Magazin gelesen?

Peter Schiff hat damals 2008 die Subprime-Kriese vorausgesagt.

Nun sagt er im Interview, dass sich die amerikanische Wirtschaft nicht nachhaltig erholt hat. Er sagt die Blase im Technologiesektor wird 2015 platzen. Er spricht vor allem von sozialen Netzwerken. Zudem sagt er für 2015 ein QE4 durch die FED voraus. Da sich die Wirtschaft nur scheinbar erholt und ohne QE4 in eine Rezession gerät. Zudem rät er stark von amerikanische Aktien und Anleihen ab. In Folge dessen sagt er ein viel schwächeren Dollar voraus.

Was haltet ihr davon?

Ich bin ebenfalls seit längerem der Überzeugung das die FED die Zinsen nie und nimmer anheben wird. Die erwartete Zinsanhebung wird dann 2015 mit billigen Argumenten immer weiter hinaus gezögert (die Arbeitslosenquote ist noch zu hoch..bla..bla..bla..). Darauf würde ich heute einiges Geld wetten, dass 2015 keine Zinsanhebung kommt.

Was ist eure Meinung?

Ich glaube die Fed wird 2015 eine kleine Zinserhöhung auf 0.5% durchführen. Das muss sie fast tun, um ihre Glaubwürdigkeit zu behalten. Es sei denn natürlich, es käme vorher zu einem aussergewöhnlichen Ereignis wie einem Aktien- oder Anleihen-Crash.

Danach wird die Fed die Märkte beobachten, gucken was passiert und ggf. QE4 auflegen.

Kritisch ist im Moment der Energiesektor wegen der gesunkenen Ölpreise und der grossen Kredit-Hebelung der Shale-Gaz Firmen:

Bis Mitte Jahr war der Energiesektor der absolute Renner, danach der absolute Looser.

Wohl und Wehe der US-Wirtschaft hängen im Moment am Shale-Gaz. Das betrifft nicht zuletzt die Arbeitsplätze, denn 1.36 Mio. Jobs wurden vom Energiesektor in den letzten Jahren neu geschaffen.

Es hängt also alles davon ab, ob die sehr optimistischen Prognosen betreffend der ausbeutbaren Gas-Felder gehalten werden können oder nicht.

In den USA wird kein Fernseher und kein Handy mehr produziert und die einst so blühende Textilindustrie New Yorks ist auf eine Hand voll Firmen geschrumpft, die Baseball-Caps für Touristen herstellen

Dies sind eben genau die Schlüsselbegriffe für Erfolg. Die Firma Parkdale kenne ich aus persönlicher Erfahrung und da ist weder beim Management noch bei den Mitarbeitern ein "Daumen im A..,) festzustellen.

Die Statistiker werden mir nun vorhalten, dass diese Industrie eine "quantité négligable" sei. Dies ist aber nicht der Punkt. Bezüglich Innovarton , Zielstrebigkeit, Risikofreudigkeit, Durchhaltewillen könnten sich einige Unternehmen in EU-Staaten etwas  lernen.

Das glaube ich Dir gerne. Aber es bedurfte erstmals der Krise und hunderter Konkurse in der Textilindustrie bis sich die besten der besten auf ihre Innovationsstärke und Intuition verlassen haben und nun etwa neues, besseres aufbauen.

Notabene gibt es auch einige Erfolgsstories aus Detroit. Unter anderem eine Jeans-Fabrik. Auch hier bedurfte es erst mal einer Krise, um den Daumen aus besagtem A... zu nehmen.

Reagonomics bedeutete vor allem Steuerm runter und (Militär-) Ausgaben rauf und eine Mehr-als-verdopplung der US-Staatsverschuldung während Reagans Amtszeit auf für heutige Verhältnisse niedliche 2.5 Billionen. Währenddessen wurden die Finanzmärkte liberalisiert und die "Finanzindustrie" erschaffen (was letztlich auch Stimulus ist).

Also gut, dann halt ernsthaft. Die Bonds erhalten einen "hohen" Zins von sagen wir mal 3%. Heisst, es wird viel Geld darin parkiert. Da die Zinsen über diese lange Laufzeit irgendwann einmal steigen werden (eher früher als später) wird damit extrem schneller Geld vernichtet (Wert sinkt), als auf jede andere Art (Aktienkurse).
